12 July 2011 - Not too late for Polar Bears

Today was an exciting day for some. We found another feature in Trench 4 and we reached 100 Units! Yay. But Danny couldn't make it today to celebrate, due to the fact that he beasted it on the backfill pile yesterday. That sucks, cuz he was bringing the champagne and sparkling grape juice for the youngins. Other than that it was mega hot and it was basically normal. Lauren Bell found an awesome piece of Ironicity. John Krebs actually picked up a shovel instead of food and went to work on a unit! But Brian Mabelitini laid out the units kinda crooked, so Krebs has to work more muahahaha. Thank goodness for the chain of command. Anyways, other than that, nothing big, next week is backfilling and Danny basically annihilated 1/4 of the pile by himself. Next week should be a piece of cake backfilling the dirt back into the many trenches and units we opened up. Hopefully it won't take all week. Also, mosquitos are killers out here. They basically want to eat us alive and bury us in the units that we have dug. P.S. I need to start bringing 2 sandwiches to the site. John Krebs brings basically a whole fruit bowl to the site plus a huge hoagie and a 2 liter thing of coke and a big grab bag of chips. Gotta be balanced I suppose. Haha. Sorry, Here are some pictures.
