We toured the area and gained some knowledge about their site. The most valuable information that I gathered is how differently theirs and our techniques are. I guess with anything, everyone has a different style. But the ultimately the goal is the same.
We met back up at the Archaeological Institute on UWF school campus. And all decided to go out to eat for lunch. While a few people got in their cars and left for the place of interest. I was one of those people. As I was heading to the place, I get like over 9,000! phone calls about how someone got into an accident, and it was none other than Steve and another individual. Apparently someone backed into Steve while he was getting out of the parking lot and someone didn't look while backing up and nailed Steve's car right in the kisser. So yeah, that really sucked, good thing both parties were ok and Steve later joined up with the gang to dig again.
We had a pretty exciting day other than that little mishap we had. We had good food for lunch and went to the site with stomachs full and ready for naps but that was not the case. We dug for about 2 hours and then the typical Florida rain came and we closed out and did the rapid packing up. Its basically the equivalent to the two minute drill in football.
